A 53-year-old Bouctouche man has died after a two-vehicle collision in Saint Grégoire, just south of Bouctouche.
Around 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Richibucto RCMP and Bouctouche Fire responded to a head-on collision between a truck and a tractor-trailer on Highway 11.
The driver of the truck died at the scene from his injuries.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was not hurt.
There were no passengers in either vehicle.
Mounties believe the collision occurred when the driver of the truck, travelling northbound, crossed the centre-line and collided with a transport truck travelling southbound.
An RCMP collision reconstructionist is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the man’s exact cause of death.
