Statements have been released from the families of the two officers who were tragically killed in the incident in Fredericton on Friday..
Constable Robb Costello was one of two who was shot and killed.
Jackie Steeves says Robb was very positive person who had a special way of dealing with people, .fair, but strong and tough when needed.
He spent years working in a specialized unit, but he was dedicated to helping others and he was also a dedicated family man. His mom was the most important woman in his life and he was very proud of his daughters.
Steeves added that Robb was her best friends and soulmate.
Constable Sara Burns was the other who was tragically lost..
Her family says Sara loved her job and went to work each shift committed to serving the community.
They also say they appreciate all of the thoughts and prayers during this difficult time, but they ask for privacy as they grieve.
