Work is already underway to clear the land where Moncton future downtown entertainment centre will stand.
Construction is expected to get underway in March.
But Executive Director of Downtown Moncton Centreville-Inc Anne Poirier Basque says the excitement is already building, “There are a lot of developers that are interested in our downtown. We’re hoping to see more of the vacancies filled up.”
She says this entertainment centre will help to bring life back into our downtown.
The public is invited to an Ideas Workshop on Wednesday, December 2, at 6:30 pm, at Moncton City Hall. It’s being hosted by the City of Moncton and will provide citizens an opportunity to share ideas regarding the Downtown Centre project.
Bird Construction will also hold an information session from 5:30-6:30pm, on the 6th floor of City Hall for contractors/sub-contractors interested in the tendering process, timelines and other requirements related to the Downtown Centre project.
