January 29th Nikki Payne will host a star-studded Thursday Night for Laughs Gala with comedians Jen Grant, Peter White, Nathaniel Rankin, DJ Demers, Patrick Haye and Kelly Taylor. On January 31st CBC radio’s Gavin Crawford hosts the “Because New Brunswick Gala”, a New Brunswick-inspired take of his hit radio show “Because News”, featuring a hilarious news quiz panel of headlining comedians and sizzling stand-up performances including Dave Hemstad, Julie Kim, Arthur Simeon, Lars Callieou, Hannah Veldhoen, and Chris Locke . During the Francophone week, Friday, January 23rd will showcase another edition of the Rendez-vous de la Francophonie Gala starring the one-and-only Mario Jean featuring a talented line-up of comedians. On Saturday, January 24th the Festival welcomes Marthe Laverdière to the Capitol Theatre stage with her one-woman show along with some hilarious opening acts.
