EMO Warns Against Bringing Generators Inside

A warning from the New Brunswick Emergency Measures Organization about carbon monoxide poisoning.

Provincial EMO telling us four people living in a house have been intoxicated by carbon monoxide because they were using a generator inside their home.

Because of the widespread power outages, New Brunswickers are reminded of the threat that carbon monoxide can pose in their homes.

In recent years people have have died or been hospitalized because of carbon monoxide poisoning.

NB EMO is warning everyone to never run a generator in a home, garage, or near a window or air intake outside of a home.

It’s also not safe to use a BBQ, camping stove or a propane heater inside of a house or garage.
