Eight Tenants Displaced After Apartment Fire

Eight people have been displaced from their homes after an apartment fire in the 200 block of Dominion Street in Moncton.

Firefighters were called to the scene late Monday afternoon.

Moncton Fire platoon chief Brian McDonald says it appears the fire was accidental and started on a deck on the outside of the two-and-a-half storey building.

MacDonald says the fire was contained to the attic area.

He adds the Red Cross are helping the tenants from the three apartments.
