Drug trafficking nets 2-year sentence for Moncton-area man

Two years in prison for a Moncton-area man charged with possessing cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

Stephen Edgar, 70, was arrested on May 14 after a five-month investigation by Department of Justice and Public Safety officials.

A news release from the department on Thursday said drug paraphernalia and 28 grams of crack cocaine were seized from the man’s truck.

In addition to his prison sentence, Edgar is also banned from owning firearms for 10 years.
