Donald Trump convicted in hush-money trial

Donald Trump has become the first former U.S. president to be convicted of criminal charges.

A jury found Trump guilty Thursday on 34 counts of falsifying business records.

The charges relate to a hush-money payment made to adult film star Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 presidential election.

The 77-year-old, who is running for president again this year, is scheduled to be sentenced on July 11.
