Beausejour MP Dominic LeBlanc was in conflict of interest when he pursued an Arctic surf clam license for his wife’s first cousin.
Conflict of Interest and Ethics Commissioner Mario Dion released that decision in a report today.
Dion has determined that a first cousin of LeBlanc’s wife, Gilles Theriault of the Five Nations Clam Company, could have financially benefitted from the clam license.
I accept his findings. I take my responsibilities under the Act very seriously and I will continue to work with the Commissioner’s office. (3/3)
