DMCI Unveils Christmas Campaign For 2014

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in downtown Moncton.

The lights are up, the businesses look festive, and they’re ready for the festive season…

Downtown Moncton Centreville Inc. held its annual kickoff this morning for its upcoming holiday activities.

Executive Director Anne Poirier-Basque says it their way of inviting everyone to the downtown.

She says, “It kicks off the Christmas season for our merchants and for the downtown in particular. So that’s why it is so exciting for us, and there’s so many things that the downtown has to offer at Christmas time, and we want to showcase this.”

This year’s activities include the 47th annual Majesta Greater Moncton Santa Claus parade, which takes place on November 22nd, an outdoor tree lighting ceremony and the City of Moncton’s Holiday Open house.

Three lucky shoppers will also win a $500 Christmas shopping spree from one of 38 participating downtown businesses.
