DMCI Executive Director Resigns After Eleven Years

After eleven years, the Executive Director for Downtown Moncton Centreville Inc is stepping down.

Anne Poirier Basque joined DMCI in November 2010, but in March of 2022, she will leave the role to pursue other interests.

According to a news release, Poirier Basque’s key advocacy activities during her time with DMCI, helped in the return of downtown on-street parking, the construction of
the Downtown Centre, and the construction of a public washroom in the downtown during her tenure.

Board Chair Denis Foulem says she has provided tremendous leadership and strategic direction to the team at DMCI over the past
eleven years.

The Board of Directors says they will begin a search in the near future to fill the position.

DMCI is an independent, non-profit organization funded by the commercial building and property owners located in the Business Improvement Area.
