If you were affected by mild temperatures and heavy rainfall on January 12th and 13th, you may now apply for disaster relief from the provincial government.
More than 100 millimetres of rain fell in less that 24 hours, causing floods and washouts in several parts of the province including Kent County.
Thousands of NB Power customers were also left in the dark, some for up to 40 hours.
The program provides assistance for eligible damage and losses. The maximum assistance for structural repairs to private residences is $160,000, while the maximum for small businesses and not-for-profit organizations is $500,000.
The deadline to apply, is May 15th.
