Diesel Prices Plummet, Gas Inches Up

A big drop in diesel prices after the weekly adjustment in New Brunswick.

The new maximum price is around $2.15 per litre, a drop of nearly 15 cents.

Drivers who use gasoline, however, will not see much of a change at the pumps.

The price for regular self-serve went up by 0.3 cents to a new maximum of $2.02 per litre.

Most local stations are selling both fuels for a few cents less.

Meanwhile, heating oil is down by nearly 12 cents to $1.91 per litre.

The price for propane remained virtually unchanged at $1.25 per litre.

Fuel prices are reset every Wednesday night in New Brunswick by the Energy and Utilities Board.
