Diesel Could Drop In N.B., Gas Unclear

The president of Canadians for Affordable Energy doesn’t see a lot of movement – if any – for the price of gasoline in New Brunswick this week.

Dan McTeague said a 7.3 cent price drop thanks to the interrupter clause overnight was something he expected could happen.

Now selling for a maximum of $1.565 per litre, gas prices have not been this low in the province since February.

Meantime, he believes diesel will fall by about 7.0 cents per litre when the Energy and Utilities Board makes its regular weekly price adjustment at midnight.

The current maximum price for diesel is $2.729 per litre.
