You can spruce up your front yard for a very reasonable price this week thanks to the City of Dieppe’s tree planting program.
The City is offering to plant mature trees on your property for a discounted price from now until the end of March.
In order to qualify you must not already have a tree in front of your house, and there must be enough room for the tree to grow safely.
There is the small fee of 50 dollars, which amounts to less than 30 percent of the cost to buy the tree.
If successul, City staff will reach out to determine what kind of tree can be planted on your lot based on available space and availability of tree species.
The program is on a first come, first served basis.
