Dieppe Man Faces Forty-Three Charges After Copp Street Incident

A Dieppe man is facing 43 charges in connection with the seizure of firearms and drugs from a home.

On April 1st, RCMP received reports of a man inside a Copp Street residence who was threatening to harm himself.

A man was arrested at the scene without incident.

The following day, officers conducted a search of the home.

On April 4, Michel Goguen appeared in Moncton provincial court and was charged with 43 offences including the following offences:

  • Twelve counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Eight counts of possession of a firearm without obtaining the proper licence
  • Six counts of careless storage of a firearm
  • Five counts of careless storage of a prohibited weapon
  • Three counts of possession of a prohibited weapon
  • One count of possession for the purpose of trafficking in methamphetamine

He remains behind bars, and will return to court on April 22nd for a bail hearing.
