Dieppe Girl Has New Minion For Christmas

There’s a happy ending to the story of a three year old Dieppe girl who saw her inflatable Minion Christmas decoration stolen from the front yard of her home.

Lexie was devastated when she looked out the window early Saturday morning to say “Good Morning” to her Minion, but he was gone.

Her Mom Melanie Levison says someone stole the Minion and their Elf lights from the front of their Herman Street home, and it appears the thieves tried to take their inflatable Santa as well, “He was about 9 feet tall. Some of the pegs had been taken out. They obviously got spooked or something, and weren’t able to take him, maybe because of his size.”

She says her daughter was crushed. She thought at first maybe the Minion had blown away because it was windy on Friday night, but when I went outside, I noticed the extension cord had been taken as well, along with the Elf lights.”

Once the news got out, the support they’ve received has proven to Lexie that not everyone is a Grinch.

“I had a wonderful neighbour show up, I only know him as Tim, and he found another Minion to replace the one that was stolen.”

Levison posted on Kijiji.ca after the theft, with some stern comments directed at whoever stole the decorations. She also did it as a warning to others, so that another little girl won’t have to be heartbroken.
