Cordova Realty is planning an ambitious project in Moncton’s Vision Lands, one of the last undeveloped areas of the city between the Trans-Canada Highway and Wheeler Boulevard.
The real estate developer says it has finalized the purchase of 140 acres of land which will be transformed into Mapleton Park Place.
The development will feature several buildings six to eight storeys high with street level shops, upper floor apartments, underground parking along with commercial space for retail and offices.
Green spaces with walking and biking trails are also planned for the mixed-use community which will be designed in such a way that residents won’t need to use cars.
Cordova Realty says public feedback will be encouraged as the development progresses.
Mayor Dawn Arnold congratulated the developers and calls this a significant move to finally open up the Vision Lands.
