Death Of Missing Man Determined To Be Accidental

Codiac RCMP have determined the death of a 51-year-old Moncton man who was reported missing on April 10th, to have been accidental.

Shortly after Charles Pitre was reported missing to police, some of his belongings were located near a dumpster in the downtown area.

This discovery led to a search of a section of the Moncton landfill by members of the RCMP, where human remains were located.

Police say the body was positively identified as Charles Pitre and an autopsy determined his death to have been accidental.
