Dachshunds Rescued From New Brunswick Home

Funds are needed after a rescue of dachshunds from a home in New Brunswick.

The Atlantic Canadian Daschunds Rescue was one of several organizations that stepped in to help, after a woman had to be hospitalized and could no longer care for her dogs.

President Diane Redden says they received 7 dogs, “We have the dogs in secure, loving foster homes and the goal is to now get them medical attention.”

She says vet bills could end up being thousands of dollars, because most of the dogs require extensive medical care.

She says they normally don’t see resuces oif this many dogs, “Dachshunds normally live in pairs, so it wouldn’t be unusual to have two daschunds surrendered to the organization, but in this case it was one of those emergencies. Everyone just mobilized as quickly as they could.”
