The CRTC is trying to crack down on caller ID spoofing.
It’s a method where telemarketers use a fake phone number in hopes you answer.
Telemarketers are using the practice to get around the DO-NOT-CALL registry.
The CRTC is seeking input on ways to help them block those calls.
Comments are due by October 16.
