A lot of rain in a short period of time is causing problems in Metro Moncton today.
Moncton public works foreman Jeff Scott says crews are making their way around the city to try and alleviate any issues which may arise.
“We do have some basins which are not taking water because they may be covered with ice or even leaves which has led to localized flooding.”
Scott says the city is keeping on eye on streams since they could fill up quickly given that the ground is still mostly frozen.
Six crews are monitoring the different regions of the city today to monitor any on-street flooding issues which may occur.
