New Brunswick’s Department of Health has made it easier for all residents to obtain a COVID-19 rapid test kit.
Beginning Wednesday, rapid test kits will be available to anyone who wants one.
In the past, people were required to be symptomatic before booking an appointment to pick up a rapid test kit.
Now, anyone who needs a rapid test kit can schedule an appointment online or by calling 1-833-437-1424.
As well, to further improve access, the department is expanding the number of distribution sites for these kits, particularly in rural areas.
Those distribution sites will include participating libraries or municipal offices.
Anyone who is symptomatic should arrange to have someone else pick up the test kit, if possible.
