COVID-19 Case Confirmed At Edith Cavell School

Edith Cavell School in Moncton will be closed Wednesday following a positive case of COVID-19 at the school.

A statement from the K-8 school said the one-day closure will allow Public Health to complete contact tracing.

“We are working with Public Health officials to identify any students and school personnel who may have been in contact with the case,” said the statement, signed by principal Donna Arsenault.

Edith Cavell has become the second school in southeastern New Brunswick to report a COVID-19 case in recent days.

A case of the virus was confirmed at Bessborough School in Moncton last Wednesday

Most students returned to school Monday, with the exception of a few classes which will continue to learn remotely for the next two weeks.
