Jeremy Thorne has announced he is reoffering for Councillor of Ward 3 in the upcoming Municipal Elections.
Thorne was born and raised in Riverview and now resides in the towns Ward 3.
He currently works in e-commerce but also volunteers his time as a Captain in the Riverview Neighbourhood Watch.
Thorne was a driving force in the recently renovated Lion Ken Gabbey Community Pool. When the project eliminated plans for a pool, Thorne created a social media poll, generating support from the community that ultimately helped put it back in the plans.
His goals remain similar to when he was first elected Jeremy strives for economic growth, long-term plans for sustainability, and government transparency. He’s an advocate for mental health programs in Riverview with the belief they will make for a stronger community.
Thorne serves on various committees including the Riverview Emergency Measures Organization (EMO) Committee & Climate Change Adaptation Plan Steering Committee.
