Continued Concern Over Proposal To Dump Treated Water In Dieppe

There’s still no word on a proposal from a Nova Scotia company who want to dispose of 30 million litres of treated water into Dieppe’s municipal sewer system.

Atlantic Industrial Services applied for an Environmental Impact Assessment from the Provincial Department of Environment and Local Government to dispose of the water.

Concerns have been raised by the President of the non-profit organization Petitcodiac Riverkeeper, Paul Belliveau who says there hasn’t been sufficient information about the treated water provided.

A request has been made to analyze the environmental impact that this could have on our region.
