Contact Centres Contribute Over 1 Billion Dollars to the NB Economy

The contact centre industry in New Brunswick contributes 1.5 billion dollars to the provincial economy.

Rob Campbell, President of Contact NB, tells us there have been some ups and downs in the Saint John industry in recent years.

He says it was a bit hard when some centres closed down but TD Insurance, Canadian Blood Services and Air Canada quickly hired those employees.

Over 4000 Saint Johners work in call centres and more than 18,000 work in this industry in the province.
