The number of housing starts in New Brunswick are up, according to Canada Mortgage and Housing, trending at more than 18 hundred in July as compared to over 13 hundred in June.
C-M-H-C is reporting residential construction activity in the urban centres of the province trended significantly higher in July due most notably to a sharp increase in apartment starts in the Moncton area.
As for single detached homes, the actual number of starts for the month was virtually unchanged from the level observed during the same period last year.
