Portland-Simonds M-L-A Trevor Holder is asking what has the provincial government got to hide.
Holder says the Liberals used their majority on the Public Accounts Committee to prevent Auditor-General Kim MacPherson from being questioned about the provincial deficit and that’s something he hasn’t seen in his 17 years in the Legislature.
MacPherson is refusing to sign off on the government’s deficit number, saying she doesn’t believe it to be accurate.
Holder says no one has any idea what the true number is.
