Committee To Be Created To Prevent Scheduling Conflicts

Moncton Mayor George LeBlanc intends to use last week’s Moncton Coliseum scheduling conflict as a learning experience.

The conflict cost taxpayers $125, 000 as a Wildcats playoff game had to be moved to Fredericton because of a double booking.

LeBlanc says he plans to appoint a Committee of Council to review these issues and to provide recommendations to avoid these issues in the future.

He adds that adds city staff assured him there are no further conflicts for this playoff season.

The Moncton Wildcats will play game 7 of their series against the Halifax Mooseheads at the Moncton Coliseum tonight. Game time 7pm.
