Hwy 16 section reopens in Malden after collision

A section of Highway 16 in Malden, east of Moncton toward the Confederation Bridge, has reopened after a collision closed the road in both directions Saturday.

Police first reported the closure near Immigrant Road at 7:16 p.m., saying drivers should expect delays and follow detours.

RCMP did not release information about injuries or the cause of the crash.

In an update posted at 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, the RCMP said the highway had reopened.
