Codiac Transpo Increasing Service

Codiac Transpo is increasing bus service beginning this Sunday, February 13.

The boost in transit means service will be at 90 percent pre-pandemic levels.

Evening service is being added on a number of routes and midday service is being increased for others in Moncton and Riverview.

The changes were approved by councils in both communities as part of the bus system’s phased COVID-19 recovery.

Effective February 13, the following changes will come into effect:

  • 16-Hennessey will see schedule adjustments between 9am and 3:30pm on weekdays.
  • Evening service will be added on the following routes: 51-Green Line, 60-Bessborough, 61-Elmwood, 62-Hildegard, 63-Lewisville, 64-Hospitals, 65-Killam, and 81-Riverview.
  • Afternoon (mid-day) trips will be added on the following routes: 50-Red Line, 66-Caledonia, 85-Riverview Connector, 86-Pinewood (formerly 86-Riverview Park and Ride).
  • As part of a pilot project, route 85-Riverview Connector will see time adjustments and have service extended to Patricia Drive.
  • Numerous daytime trips are being removed from 81-Riverview as the areas will be covered by the daytime trips being added to route 85-Riverview Connector. Due to these changes, certain bus stops on Pine Glen Road will not be serviced for two trips daily in light of the changes.
  • Route 86-Park and Ride in Riverview will be renamed to Route 86-Pinewood.

Codiac Transpo makes route adjustments three times a year and is seeking input from passengers on the Let’s Chat Moncton online platform where suggestions can be made for future route adjustments
