MONCTON, N.B. – A pair of soccer siblings from Moncton are getting the experience of a lifetime at the FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup.
Charlotte, 11, and Evan, 13, Couturier are serving as flag bearers during the Moncton matches.
The kids were randomly drawn from a number of Codiac Soccer players.
Evan says he’s enjoying the chance to get a front row seat to all the action.
“I really like the games. Just being able to go to most of the games.”
However, both siblings say their job isn’t easy.
They say it takes a lot of practice to make sure the flags of the participating countries are held correctly.
