Codiac RCMP Officers To Receive Bravery Honours From Governor General

The Governor General of Canada will honour 26 recipients from across the country today, for their excellence, courage and dedication to service.

Recognition will be given to 10 Codiac RCMP officers, who risked their lives in the tragic events on June 4th, 2014 in Moncton.

Receiving decorations for bravery posthumously are Constables Dave Ross, Constable Fabrice Gevauden and Constable Doug Larche…

Also being recognized for bravery are Constable Mathieu Daigle, Corporal Peter Cyril MacLean, Constable Erik White, Constable Robert Nickerson, Constable Eric Dubois, Constable Nicolas Gilfillian and Constable Shelly Mitchell.

Right Honourable Julie Payette will present the honours during a ceremony this morning being held at the Citadelle of Québec.
