An investigation is underway after a break in at the New Brunswick Community College on Mountain Road.
Codiac RCMP Corporal Peter MacLean say they got the call shortly at 5:09AM Monday morning about a break in in progress.
“The members responded, there had been a break in, fire extinguishers were discharged on the interior of the building,” says Corporal MacLean. “A private security guard that was working there was also sprayed with the fire extinguisher.”
Corporal MacLean says this is the second time NBCC was broken into and fire extinguishers were sprayed inside, with the other incident taking place Saturdayt night.
However, in Saturday’s break in, the security guard was not sprayed; and Corporal MacLean says despite the similarities in the break ins, it’s not yet clear if they are the work of the same suspects.
They are looking through surveillance footage to try to identify the suspects.
