Cocagne Man Charged With Thefts And Break And Enters In Cocagne, Lakeville And Shediac

A 19-year old Cocagne man is facing charges in connection with a series of break and enters and thefts of gas in the region.

On Tuesday, Shediac RCMP arrested Luc Surette after his vehicle was spotted by police.

He was wanted in relation to break and enters and thefts in Cocagne, Lakeville and Shediac.

Surette appeared in Moncton Court on Wednesday and was charged with two counts of theft under $5,000 for allegedly stealing gas in Lakeville and Shediac.

The two counts of break and enter are for incidents in Cocagne – the RCMP say further charges are possible.

Surette has been sent for a 30 day psychiatric assessment in Campbellton.

He is due back in court January 20th, for a bail hearing.
