Closing Arguments Expected To Be Delivered At Dennis Oland Trial Monday

The second-degree murder trial of Dennis Oland is drawing to a close.

It’s been said that the jurors at Dennis Oland’s murder trial will be hearing closing arguments from the defence and prosecution on Monday and afterwards Justice Jack Walsh will be delivering his charge to the jury. Justice Walsh telling the jury that his charge will be long by jury trial standards and once he has finished his charge the jurors will go into deliberations at which time they will sequestered. The earliest that will happen will be on Wednesday.

Justice Walsh warning jurors it will be a mentally exhausting time for them and it will be emotionally draining.

Dennis Oland is accused of killing his father, high-profile businessman Richard Oland, whose body was discovered on July 7, 2011.

The trial began on September 16.

65 days have been set aside for this trial.
