Cleanup The Community For Earth Day: Moncton

The City of Moncton has opened registration for its annual Earth Day Cleanup.

In partnership with Eco360, the city aims to engage residents, groups and organizations to clean local green spaces such as parks and trails.

From April 22 – Earth Day – to April 24, residents can partake in the initiative using a city-provided cleanup kit with gloves, garbage bags and an instruction card. Debris that is collected will be picked up by City and Eco360 employees.

“We are seeing the impacts of climate change around the world, but the most profound impacts are being felt at the City level. In Moncton, we are proud to be leading the way. On Earth Day and every day, let’s celebrate the beauty of our Cities and remember that we can all change our habits for a brighter, more sustainable future,” Moncton Mayor Dawn Arnold said in a news release.

Residents can pick their zones and register on the City of Moncton website.
