Who doesn’t love a sweet sugary treat straight from the tree?
You can get it at the City of Moncton’s Maple Sugar camp, which is now officially open to the public.
The long and snowy winter caused delays, but Spokesperson for the Camp Heather Fraser says they’re looking forward to the warmer temperatures expected this week.
The sunshine will definitely get the sap running from the roots up into the tree, which is what they have been waiting for.
She says it has been a little slow in starting their pipeline. They have about 15 miles of pipeline and it’s a lot of extra work trying to the get it out from under the snow.
The Camp can be found near the Turtle Creek Reservoir on Route 910.
