Moncton Firefighters are getting a raise.
City Councillors voted this morning to approve a new four year collective agreement with IAFF Local 999 firefighters from January 1 of 2015 to December 31st 2019.
It includes wages increases of 2.97 per cent annually.
This deal still needs to be ratified by the union’s bargaining team.
This is similar to a recent agreement between the City of Fredericton and its firefighters.
