A number of churches in Metro Moncton have decided to collect donations for Food Depot Alimentaire during their Christmas Eve services.
This is the final fundraiser for the 30 Days of Caring Campaign.
Journey Church pastor David Morehouse says he wanted to recognize Peter McKee and the new community food centre which was named after him this year.
Morehouse says this fundraiser is a way to honour the late Peter McKee, a great Christian leader in the community.
Morehouse says at least a half-dozen churches are involved this year and he hopes the number will increase next year.
Church attendance may be declining but he adds many people want to attend services on Christmas Eve.
