The provincial government is moving ahead with changes to the Insurance Act to financially protect innocent co-insureds in the event of domestic violence and property damage.
The changes would prohibit insurance companies from denying coverage in cases where a partner has damaged or destroyed the home so innocent co-insureds could receive their share of compensation.
