Changes announced to NCAA Atlantic Slam in Moncton

The upcoming NCAA Atlantic Slam event in Moncton is going to look different than last year.

Four Division 1 college teams were scheduled to take part in a three-day tournament from Nov. 15 to 17 at the Avenir Centre.

“Due to changes in NCAA rules and regulations, the originally planned multi-team event has been modified to a single NCAA regular season game,” said a news release from the Avenir Centre on Wednesday.

The Northeastern Huskies will face off against the Central Connecticut Blue Devils on Nov. 16 at 7 p.m.

The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

Atlantic Slam is owned and produced by On Ice Entertainment Ltd. in partnership with the Big South Conference.
