Celebrating Pride In Greater Moncton

This is the final weekend of Pride Week in Greater Moncton.

River of Pride, a non-profit group serving the LGBTQ+ population in the area, has organized activities this week under the theme of inclusivity, community and diversity.

After a three year absence, the colourful Pride Parade returns to downtown Moncton on Saturday at 1 p.m.

The parade will head down Main Street from Foundry to Downing Streets and conclude at Riverfront Park.

Following the parade at Riverfront Park, a Queer Market will be held in the afternoon featuring food vendors, businesses, information and educational booths and a beer garden.

In the evening, a Pride concert in the park will have live entertainment including music and drag performances.

Pride Week will officially wrap up on Sunday with a closing ceremony at 3:30 p.m. at Moncton City Hall.
