Pets Rescued From Kitchen Fire In Moncton Home

Moncton Fire helped to rescue four cats and three dogs from a home during a kitchen fire in a home near Salisbury Road.

Platoon Chief Dennis Dollemont says when they arrived at the Edgewater Court residence at around 4:30pm, they found the kitchen engulfed.

The large two storey home was also full of smoke.

Dollemont says the cats were quickly brought out and were doing well, considering the amount of smoke in the home.

The dogs were also rescued with the help of the homeowners.

He says they got the fire extinguished quickly, but there is extensive smoke, water and fire damage.

There’s no word on a cause yet.
