CARMA Cat Rescue has found a way to raise funds while respecting public health guidelines.

“Which is ten lobsters, ten steak as well as a $100 gift card. It’s all done virtually so people can send us their information, send us an e-transfer and then we issue tickets. Draw date is August 20th, so we’ll spin the virtual wheel and announce the winner,” she says.
She added that for individuals who don’t have online access, they will also be accepting cash and providing paper tickets.
While they’ve had to postpone some of their usual fundraisers due to COVID-19, MacDonald says adoptions are back in full swing as well as their Trap-Neuter-Return program.
CARMA hopes to meet the previous year’s total of 4 thousand dollars, and says one hundred per cent of the funds go toward the cats’ medical bills.
