The Municipality of Cap-Pelé has implemented a new door hanger sign system to help make Halloween safer for everyone.
Special door hangers will be mailed to residents in the coming weeks.
This gives each residence the option of deciding whether or not they wish to have children at their doorstep on Halloween.
Residents who wish not to participate in the Trick or Treat tradition this year are asked to place the door hanger on the red side on Halloween.
Those who want to participate can hang it on the green side.
If you choose to participate, the municipality urges that you follow the recommendations issued by the province.
Additional door hangers can be picked up at the municipal office.
