Cannabis NB Cuts Staff At Its Retail Stores

Just months after Cannabis NB opened it doors with the legalization of marijuana, employees are losing their jobs.

Spokesperson Marie-Andre Bolduc says on average, around three employees per store are being let go.

The company says day to day operations have normalized, and they now have a better understanding of operational needs in each store.

Cannabis NB says a a review was done on the needs of the stores and a decision was made to reduce the number of staff.

It adds that there were expectations that staffing of stores may change after the launch.

Recreational marijuana was legalized on October 17th.
