Derek Riedle, the publisher of Civilized, says it’s something they tried here and were thrilled with the result including more than a million dollars in economic impact for the Port city.

He tells us this June they will be talking about policy, regulation and more.

“We will really be talking about how the Canadian model is rolling out because we are a world first and that’s why so many companies and government representatives from around the world will be here.”

The legalization of cannabis and research associated with it are two of the reasons why the global market is expected to exceed $146 billion US by 2025.

The second World Cannabis Congress runs June 16th to the 18th in Saint John.
