Canada Post has temporarily suspended its plan to convert door-to-door mail delivery to community mailboxes.
The Crown Corporation plans to work with the Government of Canada to determine the next step.
This affects around 460,000 addresses across the country which are currently in the process to be converted to community mailboxes.
Neighbourhoods that have already been converted, will continue to collect their mail and parcels at community mailboxes.
